About Us

East Central Lawn & Sport was established in 2012. We began in the used powersport sales. From there we took off into the off brand atv, utv and dirt bike market. We specialize in used Atvs and Snowmobiles. We also specialize in the Youth ATVS for kids. 125cc and 110cc atvs are normally what we sell. We stock all different colors, sizes and brands of Atvs. We also stock SSR pit bikes and dirt bikes. The dirt bikes range in all different colors and sizes from 50cc all the way up to 450cc. In 2013 we became a dealer for Cazador UTV's. 170cc 4 stroke engines great for kids for half the price of a name brand. In 2014 we became a dealer for ODES UTVS 800cc UTV that is fully loaded.

East Central Sports is about giving back to the community. Every year we donate money to either the food shelf or local sporting clubs and sponsorships. From 2016 on we are doing our own "Christmas Wish" for families in need around Christmas. In 2016 we donated along with 3 other local companies 4 new machines to a local family who had lost their dad/husband to cancer at 36 years old. **VIDEO IS LISTED AT BOTTOM OF PAGE**

In 2015 we changed our name from East Central Lawn & Sport to East Central Sports.

In 2015 we opened up our new retail location in downtown North Branch MN.

In 2015 we were awarded #1 Dealer for Cazador USA.

East Central Sports was announced as the #1 volume SSR Motorsports dealer in the United States in 2016, 2017 & 2018.

Also in 2016 East Central Sports was announced as a TOP 5 dealer for Hammerhead/Polaris Go Karts/Utv's.

In 2017 East Central Sports landed a booth in the Minnesota State Fair. We are located on Machinery Hill 2 booths north of Sweet Marthas new cookie stand.

2018 East Central Sports opened its second location in Burnsville MN in the Burnsville Center.  

In 2018 East Central Sports brought in TORO products as a new line to carry. 2018 recieved the Summit Club award for Toro

In October of 2019 ECS was approved and started carrying the KYMCO line.

In 2019 we were awarded the Summit Club award for Toro.

Old building, new purpose - Post Review Story On Us
Motorists driving by the old Standard on the Corner building at the intersection of Highway 95 and County Road 30 in North Branch during the summer likely noticed a transformation.

Gone is the tin siding that used to cover the outside of the structure — the original brick façade from the 1930s, power-washed clean, is now visible. The parking lot was recently seal coated, there’s a new glass window on the building, and now there’s a sign that reads “open.”

The historic building is now home to East Central Sports, which started in 2012 in Rush City as a used power sports sales company.

Owner Mac Johnston said his business has really taken off in the past few years. East Central Sports specializes in all-terrain vehicle, utility task vehicle, dirt bike, snowmobile and youth ATV sales.

Mac said he started the business after selling some used snowmobiles for a relative — it went well, and he realized there is a market in the area for power sport vehicles.

Todd, Mac’s father, said he and Mac knew some of the history of the building before they purchased it, but they’ve been learning more from the people who stop by and want to talk to them about when it used to be a Standard Oil station, and, before that, when it was owned by the Lindberg family. To pay homage to that history, Mac has a Standard Oil sign in the window.

We became a member of the North Branch Chamber Of Commerce.
