Weight Leverage Disclaimer!
A 200lb weight capacity means that the hitch can handle a 200lb load within 1ft of the hitch receiver. This does not mean that it can handle 200lbs of weight resting 3ft further back from the receiver. The further the weight load is pushed backwards, away from the hitch, the more torque the receiver experiences. For example, if you are using a hitch mount bike rack, and you put (2) 80lb E-Bikes on the rack (so 160lbs 2-3ft away from the hitch), the receiver would then be experiencing around a 400lb load, double the hitches weight capacity. Don't get this confused with pulling a trailer that weighs more than 200lbs, because the trailer's weight doesn't entirely rest on the receiver. The tongue weight of the trailer is the most important number you need to know when pulling a trailer as the tongue weight is what the hitch will be experiencing.
